It can be styled so many different ways, and the slightly shorter length adjustment made it perfect for a shortie like me. This dress is a game-changer: the fabric has enough weight to drape well and not move around too much. There are no belt loops, so you can tie the belt exactly where you need. It takes some getting used to to adjust and tie the belt but once you figure it out it stays put and your cleavage opening is not a problem. It flows and drapes beautifully, makes me feel very feminine and lush. You can wear it more casually with a white sneaker or really dress it up. The dress is very versatile. I’ll admit — a part of me was expecting to be disappointed given my mediocre experience with online orders (even from premium and designer brands) but this was not the case AT ALL. I love how the dress fits me. I’m 5’4″ and pear shaped with a UK12 top and UK14-16 bottom, which makes it difficult to buy single sizes, but the M-L still gives me a loose fit. This is one of those magic dresses that can suit most bodies (and all ages). The linen blend fabric is great — not a bitch to iron, a deep and elegant black, and has enough weight to fall and flow in a flattering way without being heavy or warm. The waist band does a good job of holding the dress together but I’m probably going to sew an inner tie anyway to be safe. This dress is definitely going in my staple collection!

As an alternative to the belt, I put button and button holes on either side, and that also works very well. I have to say the belt stays on a lot better than most similar fabrics I’ve seen before, but I do like the extra room with buttons instead. Fantastic dress.
